Cognitivism (ethics)

In ethics, cognitivism is the view that ethical sentences express propositions and can therefore be true or false (they are truth-apt), which noncognitivists deny. Forms of cognitivism include moral realism, skepticism, subjectivism, relativism, and nihilism.
